The new Dubai Police Academy complex is a multi-faceted, phased project that will house the entirety of Dubai's police force, including new academic buildings, administration offices, band facilities, auditoriums, and gyms.

AE7's Pittsburgh office was tasked with developing the interiors for two academic buildings, the training building, auditorium, gym, pool, and band building. After first developing an overall design concept, a unique identity was shaped for each individual building — ensuring a comprehensive look and feel across the campus while maintaining a distinct personality for each building. Rigorous space planning and programming was completed for each space prior to bringing the client's vision to life through extensive design and rendering.
my responsibilities

Developed typical classroom designs and responsible for coordinating and creating design development drawings for the two academic buildings

Worked with acoustic consultants to ensure all classrooms, offices, performance spaces, recording studios, and more had adequate levels of acoustics, soundproofing, and noise/vibration control

Further developed and detailed all spaces within the band building throughout design development and construction documentation -- detailing ablutions, prayer rooms, bathrooms, offices, classrooms, rehearsal spaces, auditoriums, and more

Selected all interior materials for the assigned buildings (academic and band buildings), ensuring visual consistency and providing an elevated, sophisticated aesthetic with nods to biophilia throughout
